Schlag, MD, Ph.D, awards his medical doctorate 1974 at
the biochemical Institute of University at D�sseldorf.
After his surgical training at the departement for
Surgery of the University of Ulm several research
fellowships followed:

Administration Surgical Adjuvant Cancer Chemotherapy

- In 1981 Prof.
Schlags Ph.D.-Thesis followed with the
titel:"Clinical and experimental investigations on
the etiopathogenesis of the carcinoma of the operated
stomach". From 1982 until 1992 Prof. Schlag was the
Head of the Division of Surgical Oncology in the
Department of Surgery, University Heidelberg. Since Dez.
1992 Prof. Schlag is the Chairman of the Department of
Surgery, Robert-R�ssle-Tumor-Hospital at the
Max-Delbr�ck-Centrum, Humboldt-Universit�t zu Berlin.
