Via Telemedicine the advantages of an increasing specialization in medicine can be effectively used by the integration of necessary data, diagnostic findings or even experts of medical specialties. Telepresence stands for the online availability of these data and implies options of use during a conference, an examination or in the course of surgical interventions. In oncology, due to the need of a close interdisciplinary cooperation for adequate tumor therapy, these systems of telepresence are of an enormous importance. We work with such a system of three dimensional online-videopresentation since it became possible by a digital satellite link in 1993. Since then the reliability of this system of telepresence has been demonstrated on numerous occasions in Germany. CAR 96 will be our first foreign presentation.
