Dr. Gunter
Bellaire received his diploma in computer science from
the Technical University Berlin (TUB) in 1991. From
1991-1996 he worked as a research assistant at the Computer Vision Group of the Technical Computer
Science Institute at the TUB. He received his PhD in
1996. His thesis was about 3-D object recognition from
2-D video images. Dr. Gunter Bellaire is since October
1996 a member of the SRU OP 2000. His research interests
are multimedia data bases, virtual reality in training
and education, simulation, computer vision and robotics.
