Clinical Research Group Cardiomyopathy

Collaborations

The group is open for collaborations in clinical and basic research and has demonstrated succesful team work in many different projects.

At the University Hospital Charit� there are tight interdisciplinary relations to the dept of Clinical Chemistry and Biochemistry (genetic screening), to the dept of Neurology (cardiomyopathy and myopathy), and the dept of Medical Genetics (genetic counselling).

The group is tightly linked to the Max Delbr�ck Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin-Buch (linkage and gene mapping). Further, we have collaborated with local basic research institutions like the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (expression profiling).

There are close clinical cooperations concerning patients with various university hospitals, community hospitals and heart centers in Germany, especially with the Institute for clinical und molecular Cardiovascular Research Witten-Herdecke, and the dept for Cardiac Surgery Heinrich Heine University D�sseldorf.

Intensive international collaborations exist with the British Heart Institute London/Great Britain, the National Center for Cardiology & Internal Medicine Bishkek/Kyrgyzthan, the Clinic for Internal Medicine of the Silesian School of Medicine Katowice/Poland, and the Hospital Pulido Valente Lisbon/Portugal.
